Hi everyone.. We are Renu and Rakesh Rana. Renu is a very close friend of Ashish’s mom, Suman Sharma. Her friendship with Suman dates back to their middle school days.

Our families were very close friends, and interestingly we all had lived as neighbors for a long time in Kurukshetra, India.

We had migrated to the USA in 1980, and have lived in the Columbus area of Ohio since 1984.

Ashish Sharma came into our contact when he moved to Columbus, Ohio in early 2000. Right from our first meeting, Ashish had spelled his charm, reflecting his brilliance and gentleness.

He was engaged in a research project in Ohio State University and was totally focused on his professional pursuits. Very gentle in his demeanor, he reflected brilliance and took pride in his work.

This handsome young man was very tall. Every time he came to visit us , we would wonder if he had grown taller. We loved meeting him every time.

Later we learned about him getting married and settling in Atlanta. He obviously had gathered lots of prominence for his research work by putting exceptional efforts with persistent hard work.

We knew that he would be exceptional in his field of work. He had proved his dedication without any doubt, as he didn’t stop working almost till the end.

Our heart bellows in pain, seeing how a fatal illness took him away. It is a loss, irreparable by any means. We just pray for comfort to his daughter, wife and parents, Suman and Raju.
