Arun Rangra is Ashish’s Uncle.

I know Ashish from his childhood as I used to visit them during my official trips to the towns , his father was posted. I remember him as a shy, affectionate and a disciplined child. However lost touch with him when he went abroad for advanced studies and then settled in U.S in his job. I kept hearing about the amazing strides he kept making in his profession from his Grandfather(Mom’s father) from time to time, in spite of the fact , he changed his profession.

I met him couple of times in Delhi during family get togethers, he came to me as a very affectionate adult who was rooted in customary Indian traditions, in spite of being out of the country for ages. The greatest quality of his came to fore when he started fighting the deadly disease with such vigor, intent and mental strength, at one time , I thought even the disease bowed its head onto his feet.

But as they say, Destiny always has the last word. Ashish , you fought like a brave soldier, may your soul rest in peace.
