Abha and Alok Sharma remember
Though we always met Ashish with his parents, we really got to know him more closely when he was studying BTech in PEC in Chandigarh.
We were his local guardians and Ashish would spend a lot of time at our place during those four years. We remember him fondly as a bright, hardworking and down to earth young man those days. Even at a young age, he had a very calm way of going about his life. His loving and compassionate nature won our hearts- be it watching cricket with our mother or in general long career discussions/ chats with him over meals. I still remember pushing Shubhra, a teenager at that point, to learn from Ashish and work as hard as him to do well in life. His focus in life and dedication helped him achieve a lot in short life.
We were in constant touch with Ashish and his parents during his illness and even those tough years, while undergoing such pain, we saw that he fought the disease with courage and patience. Ashish left us way too soon but the kind of personality that he was, has left a mark on everyone. He will remain in our hearts and prayers forever.
